That’s right! Billy Gilman, who burst onto the national stage in 2000 with the hit single “One Voice” is coming to the Palm Springs Cultural Center on March 9th as part of the 2024 Sand, Stars and Guitars Music Series!
Billy’s debut album was certified double platinum in the United States, and he was included in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the youngest singer to ever reach #1 on the Billboard Top Country Album charts. He has sold ten million albums worldwide and garnered awards and nods from The Grammy’s, the Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association, Billboard Magazine, and the American Music Association.
Gilman became a fan favorite on the 11th season of NBC’s THE VOICE, and made it all the way to the finale. He finished as runner up and won the hearts of millions with his soaring vocals and amazing song choices.
In a video posted on November 20, 2014, Gilman came out as gay. He released his video titled “My Story by Billy Gilman” on One Voice Productions YouTube page only hours after another country singer Ty Herndon had come out. Gilman said in the video that Herndon’s public acknowledgement inspired him to do the same.
