On Wednesday, February 14th, the Palm Springs Cultural Center will present a very special 70th Anniversary screening of FROM HERE TO ETERNITY. A reception with Chocolate Covered Strawberries and special cocktails will precede the screening, starting at 6pm. The main event starts in the Historic Camelot Theatre at 7pm with live music by Bill Marx and Bill Edwards. Following that, Steve Geiger will present Mensch Awards to the film’s stars posthumously. Donna Reed’s daughter Mary Owen will accept the awards on their behalf. Also slated to receive posthumous Mensch Awards are the Palm Springs Cultural Center’s founders, Rick and Rozene Supple.
The 70th Anniversary screening will begin immediately after the awards ceremony on the BIG SCREEN. Revisit
FROM HERE TO ETERNITY‘s famous love scene between BURT LANCASTER and DEBORAH KERR on the beach, which was filmed at Halona Cove, Oahu, Hawaii, and is often called Hollywood’s Best Kiss! Then relive the events surrounding the bombing of Pearl Harbor through the eyes of multiple military personnel, including Montgomery Clift, Burt Lancaster, Frank Sinatra and Ernest Borgnine.
